there is something vaguely unsettling by seeing the colours together like this- and the flat quality they have seen on the screen. The more I look the more I want to have them in transparent layers – ie. 5 and 8; 7 and 1 and 3. I’m not sure about the reds – wasn’t it Albers who said show 60 people a red painting and they will all se a different red.
